“I think I understand this,” I proclaimed. “I think I do.”
“You looked worried,” LaShonda quizzed me, “You’re sure you’re OK.”
“We’re all worried,” Al added, “It’s a tough problem.”
“No, it is not that hard,” I said quietly.
“What do you mean?” Al asked.
“‘Prove all things, but hold fast to that which is good.’” I felt the corners of my mouth turn up so strongly it was hard to speak at all.
“Excellent,” Al grinned back, “Let’s do this!”
We know what’s up. What happens with it is another problem.
They’re making sense of it. Problem is it’s not anywhere near what anyone else has ever thought of the same work. What’s going to come of them?
They’re coming together to accept what they’ve seen. That doesn’t mean they accept it yet.
